Twelve extraordinary humans, asking the same question.
Throughout 2026, twelve remarkable individuals have been building the Wild Underground – a year-long fellowship, pilgrimage and creative conspiracy that asks ‘what does it really take to bring our work and life alive?’
Wild Day Out is their answer.
Not a showcase, workshop, or white paper. A vivid, vibrant expression of what’s possible when a small group of high-agency humans, give their time and talent to something greater than themselves.

Wild Day Out is not a for profit event. It’s a platform for twelve astonishing humans to give their gifts in service of something greater than themselves.
Every dollar of your ticket goes to shaping your experience. We prioritise local suppliers, organic, and plastic free. And no money is made by Wild Underground or Mykel Dixon.
Strapped for cash?
If you cannot afford a full priced ticket right now, for whatever reason, you can apply for one of 5 full scholarships.
Scholarships are given to those who embody the essence of Wild Underground, and whose presence, perspective and full participation would make a undeniable difference to the event.

We officially gathering takes place at Butterland, 2 Tivey St, Newstead VIC 3462. But the experience actually begins the moment you buy a ticket. We have plenty of wild surprises before you actually arrive.

We’ll be at Butterland from 10am to 10pm. But don’t forget the road trip either side of that. And the days and weeks pre and post that play an important part of the entire experience.

All travel to and from the event will be arranged during The Weaving – our signature priming experience. We’ll have several options to suit your taste and schedule. It’s all part of the fun.

Absolutely. And we thoroughly recommend it. Daylesford is 15 minutes away, why not wake up to a mineral bath! A night away for your own wild becoming isn’t a luxury, it’s maintenance for a world gone mad.

For deep transformation, we require a liminal space. A real separation from regular routines and predictable environment. The voyage to and from the event is an important part of the designed experience. Nothing you experience is an accident.
